Praise God!! We were given a temporary occupancy and held our first service 24 April 2011 Resurrection Sunday! God blessed with 15 people showing up for services. With my family we had a total of 23. The folks listened attentively and many said they would return. Hallelujah! The only bad thing about the day is I forgot to take any pictures of the services! AARRGG!! We did get a picture of the family that morning and I have attached it for your viewing pleasure or your dart board. HAHAHA!

My family and I had a wonderful service on Sunday afternoon. We dedicated the building to God's work and prayed in every room that God would purge it with His blood and use it for His service.

Thank you to all who prayed especially for us that day. God answered your prayers! AMEN!!

As I write this first blog I am very excited about what the Lord is doing here in Salida! We arrived on March 13th and have been busy with finding a building and getting paperwork done to change its use to an assembly area. Just yesterday I was able to put all the paperwork in to the city and county and will, Lord willing, sign our lease on Monday. We will begin canvassing, Lord willing, on the 8th and have our first service on the 24th, Resurrection Sunday! What better day to start a church. The day our Lord arose from the dead with victory over death and hell! Hallelujah! Glory be to God! Please pray that all goes well. Our John & Romans are being shipped and will hopefully get here on time. We have enough tracts to get us started and more on the way. So, look out Salida! Here we come! or as Bro. Ted Alexander would say: "To Salida! And Beyond!"
